What is MOT certificate?
MOT stands for Ministry of Transportation which authorise and regulates transportation in UK. Vehicles which are 3 years old from the date of on road should have this MOT test pass certificate. Driving vehicle without this pass certificate is legal offense in UK. MOT test should be taken every 12 months.
Where to get MOT Certificate?
There are MOT authorised garages that can test your car and issue MOT test certificate. You should take your car to your near by MOT authorised garages for MOT test every year before the expiry of the existing certificate. If your car fails the MOT test, they will normally give the reason for failing your car.
Normally you car will be tested for safety standards on break, clutch, gear, seat belts, screen wiper, emission test, wheel alignment, tyres, lights etc. If any of these fails below the recommended standards they would not pass your MOT test. They would give the reason for failing and you should fix your car to meet the standards and go for retest.
