Individual Savings Account allows any person in UK to save or invest money without any tax on capital and interest earned from the savings.

Every year you can invest £7200 in ISA in two different ways as ISA Cash account and ISA Stocks and shares. You could only invest £3600 on Cash ISA remaining you should invest in stocks and shares. If you don’t want to invest in Stocks and shares you could only invest £3600 into your ISA savings account.

Almost every retail banks in UK will provide ISA savings account. You can open ISA account only when you have National Insurance number.

You could withdraw your cash from the ISA savings account but you will not be able to reinvest the money you have withdrawn. You will have to wait for the next year to invest next years’ ISA allowance.
